Vera was already born when her mom contacted me for newborn photos, but we were able to fit her in for a snuggly little session.  A day shy of being a month old, Vera was still just a hair under 8 lbs, and loved being wrapped up all cozy.  We were able to get some incredibly sweet pictures of her that will last a lifetime.

Mom didn’t have any particular requests as far as colors, and I realized after I had everything all set up that I hadn’t pulled any pinks or traditional “girl” colors.  Mom said that was totally fine – the rich jewel tones and warm neutrals were more to her style anyway, so that worked out perfect!  I also love pulling in some of the outdoors, especially once fall arrives, so we did a few setups with some pretty cream pumpkins.

Vera did give us a few smiles during her newborn session and one of my favorites was right during the pose with mom and dad snuggling close.  Doesn’t get any better than that!
