Ashley had contacted me last summer for family pictures while her family visited Michigan, but the timing just didn’t work out.  This year, their visit happened to be timed perfectly, and we were able to put together a session!  This family loves Lake Superior and misses it greatly now that they don’t live close.  Au Train beach was one of their favorite places to visit, so it made perfect sense to have a session there.

We had an absolutely gorgeous night, and if you know Lake Superior, you know how significant it is when I say the water wasn’t bad at all!  The boys were treated to a swim after the session, and I had a beautiful ride home.  I don’t mind traveling for sessions at all when I get to photograph in new scenery (and with such wonderful families!)
