Allyssa is a fellow photographer, and it is always an extra special privilege when another photographer chooses you to capture their photos.  We had met a few months prior over coffee – it’s so great to have someone to chat with when you’re the sole employee of your business!

Allyssa and her family have this gorgeous property where they are restoring a home they plan on moving into soon.  Allyssa has driven by this field frequently, always thinking it would be perfect for a session.  She was absolutely right – the light came in beautifully, and there was lots of tall grass and pretty little flowers to give it character (her husband was worried that the grass was too tall and kept wanting to cut it prior to the session – I’m so glad she convinced him not to!)  Allyssa’s girls too are absolutely adorable, and her older girl is Disney’s Merida come to life with that long red hair!
