This might be a weird question, but I saw a TikTok This might be a weird question, but I saw a TikTok about it a while back so I think there are people out there who will get it: Have you ever had a favorite tree? My first favorite tree was the one outside my grandparents' house downstate. It had the most perfect climbing branches, and I would sit in it with a book just like this (usually my brother was a branch or two higher than me, though). My second favorite tree would be the one at my grandparents' cabin - when we pull into the driveway and see its silhouette against Lake Superior, I know I am home. And my third favorite probably sounds a little crazier, but it's the one in our front yard at our house now. Especially in the fall - when you stand underneath its branches, and look up, it just feels like it's surrounding you and keeping you safe. So, weird, or no? What's your favorite tree? I'm pretty sure I know the answer for these kids, and I love that we were able to get this. Working on these pictures has me aching for summer sessions for sure! (and, the best part about this was probably when we realized that brother was "reading" a coloring book 🤣)

I’ve been like, really patient this year so far. I know April is cold and usually snowy. And I have more indoor projects I need to get done before it gets nice out and I want to be outside all the time. But, enough is enough, right? So many new things became available that would have made things a lot easier our first time around! And that was, ahem, a "few" years ago. So I want to know - what's new now? What's your must-haves when pregnant or for your new baby? Favorite shops, comforts during pregnancy, breast pumps, things to make your life easier - share your favorites please! (also this is strictly for curiosity and for helping other clients - I have no practical need for this knowledge so let's not start any rumors mkay?)
I love when a toy makes its way into a photo - I’d asked mom and dad if we wanted to try taking it away before photographing, and they said, “Nope! We’ve had so many photos with random toys in them and we love it.” The little toy seal is subtle, and shows a little “realness” in these photos.
