It has been such a pleasure watching Elsie grow up during her first year.  We tried a few different times to get her 9 month milestone session done outdoors, but with such a rainy fall, we had to finally move it into the studio.  I wasn’t going to let that keep us from those fall tones though, so I brought some of the outdoors in.  I found foam pumpkins at the store, and can’t believe I’d never thought of that before – now I don’t have to buy new pumpkins every year, and they are so much easier to cart around!  I also found some pretty pillows to dress up the bed that went great with one of the outfits Elsie’s mom brought.

Elsie was a little more serious during the actual pictures, but she wasn’t playing shy with me at least – she even reached out to me a few times and I got to carry her around.  I love that my children are so independent now, but sometimes I really miss having a baby on my hip!  It’s amazing what you get used to doing one handed, isn’t it?

Elsie also started making the cutest little expressions, which you’ll see below.  She also loved to clap anytime we cheered “Yaaaay, Elsie!”  It’s been so fun to see her personality develop, and I can’t wait to see her again at her one year session.
