Elva’s family moved downstate earlier this year, but they made time to capture Elva’s one year photos while up visiting for Thanksgiving.  It meant so much to me that they have been with me through my transition from a home to downtown studio space, and from their own move from the UP all the way down to lower Michigan.

Elva was an absolute ham for her session and *loved* her cake!  Her mom got the cake at For the Love of Cupcakes, which is right down the road from me in downtown Escanaba – she does such a beautiful job with her cakes, and, while I didn’t get to taste any, Elva’s reaction makes me pretty sure it was delicious!

Elva also made me realize that I need to expand my client wardrobe to include more 18 month sizes – she’s outgrown most of my first-year outfits, though luckily she got to wear a few of them at her 6 month session.  I did have a few to choose from for her, and the one year outfit her mom brought was super cute too.
