I don’t know how many times I told Courtney throughout our session, how sweet and cute her kids were!  I always strive for one “everyone look at the camera and smile” image, and then incorporate more interactive poses as well.  Her son though, did not want to look *away* from the camera, which was the complete opposite problem that I would expect from a kid his age!

We had a gorgeous evening for their session, which, as a photographer in Escanaba Michigan, I can’t always count on, and seem to have had amazing luck with this year so far.  Part of the purpose of our session was to capture their daughter’s first birthday, and outdoor cake smashes are always so much fun!  She had no hesitation about digging into that cake!
