Boudoir photos are something that I never thought I’d offer. I had a few clients reach out to me about them and I declined – I thought that I would be too awkward during such a session, and if *I’m* not confident, it would be even harder for my *client* to feel confident, which is the most important thing!

But, after photographing my own boudoir photos (so glad there are not behind the scenes of this – running around awkwardly in my studio back and forth to the tripod, trying to get into a pose quick enough for the camera to fire, running back to the camera to check it and try again) I realized how empowering it is! And, after photographing a few of these sessions, I realized that I’m actually much more comfortable than I thought I’d be. Being a nurse for 15 years has helped me develop an easygoing, relaxed demeanor, and it takes a lot to phase me! I realized that if I can help other women feel confident and empowered, that’s absolutely something I want to do.

So, what are some reasons to get a boudoir session done?

  • A special occasion coming up – Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, a birthday – a boudoir session is a great gift for your partner. My husband didn’t expect his at all, and when I handed him the “little black book” I had made, his reaction was priceless!
  • To get out of your comfort zone – we don’t grow by standing still, and it definitely takes a level of vulnerability to pose in front of someone else’s camera. You will take that feeling of conquering a fear and remember that strength every time you look back at your photos!
  • To buy new lingerie – who doesn’t want a reason to click “buy” instead of just browsing? You can thank me later!
  • Just because – for you!! This is my current soapbox. You don’t *have* to have a reason to celebrate yourself, to help you recognize just how amazing you are! Making a day of it, getting your hair and makeup done, posing for a session and then seeing the incredible results – you deserve that, just for you! Women are constantly feeling judged for not being enough – not pretty enough, not thin enough, not a good enough wife/mother/employee as they try to balance everything in their lives. I’m here to tell you that you ARE enough, just as you are, right now. Let’s lift each other up and celebrate who we are.

Whenever you decide you’re ready, I’m here to help you feel absolutely amazing and rock your boudoir session! Get in touch here!
