So way back in 2015, I was photographing one of my first weddings and happened to snap a photo of an adorable little redheaded girl who was a guest at the wedding.  I reached out to the mom of this little girl and asked if we could do a model session, just for fun.  I got some of my favorite images from that session and that little family was so great to work with. We met a few more times over the years, for newborn and family photos.  I was thrilled to hear from them again just recently, with the news that they had added another little girl to their family.  The timing worked out perfect, as I had just signed a lease on my new downtown Escanaba studio space – they were the first clients to have a session there with me.  I can’t even tell you how wonderful it was to have *so much room!!!* to work in – to not be tripping over my light, to feel like a real, legitimate professional in a beautiful space.  There are definitely some kinks to work out, but overall the session went great.

Of course, part of the reason it went so great was because of little Jemma herself.  She was an absolute angel – 9+ lbs of pure squishy sweetness, with a full head of beautiful dark hair.  I had the best time cuddling her and chatting with her mom, who is so easy to get along with.  When the older girls joined us it was so great too to see how much they had grown – I always love seeing my families over the years.  Here’s some of my favorites from Jemma’s newborn session <3
